About the NewDay Intensive Outpatient Program

About the NewDay Intensive Outpatient Program

Our patients enroll in the NewDay outpatient program to treat various addictions, including:

  • Alcohol
  • Antianxiety and sedative drugs (e.g., Xanax)
  • Cannabis (e.g., marijuana, synthetic cannabinoids)
  • Opioids (e.g., oxycodone, fentanyl)
  • Stimulants (e.g., amphetamines, cocaine)

Here are some fast facts about our program:

  • Patients get access to licensed professional counselors.
  • Our team is trained in addiction disorders.
  • The program lasts 8 weeks, connecting patients with a network of others in recovery.
  • This is an outpatient program, meaning patients still live at home and maintain their daily responsibilities.
  • Meetings take place 4 evenings per week:
    • Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, from 6:00pm until 9:00pm.
  • Meetings include a mix of education and group therapy.
  • Upon completion and if applicable, patients are given ongoing support by being referred to the following:
    • Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) groups in the Savannah, GA area
    • Narcotics Anonymous (NA) groups in the Savannah, GA area
    • Further counseling for specific issues
    • Continuing care meetings
    • Medical follow-ups
